Reedswood Park, totalled 10 acres, and is located approximately 1.5 miles to the north east of junction 10 of the M6 motorway. Reedswood Retail Park directly abuts the site with occupiers including Matalan, Carphone Warehouse, Focus, Dunelm Mill, Dreams and J.Sainsbury’s Supermarket.
Phase 1 of Reedswood Park is a joint development between Brackley Property Developments and Antringham Developments.
The site as a whole, has an outline planning consent for industrial warehouse uses with units being constructed to occupiers specific requirements.
Brackley Property Developments have recently completed a 35,000sqft building on behalf of Love Shopping, who join FW Thorpe on the site, for whom a 15,000 sqft unit which was designed and built to their requirements.
FW Thorpe are specialists in designing and manufacturing professional lighting equipment and had been searching for a unit in the Walsall area for some months, and Reedswood was an excellent fit for their requirements. Their principle aim was to secure a property close to their existing premises, thereby ensuring staff retention, and Reedswood fulfilled this and in addition offered the opportunity to fit it out themselves which the company has done elsewhere. The unit was completed in line with the required timescale, in September 2019.
Love Shopping Direct Ltd, are a large UK online retailer of LED lighting, HVAC electrical and DIY products, and have taken a 10 year lease on their new 35,000sqft warehouse unit. The investment has been sold to MGTS St Johns High Income Property Fund.
Phase 2 of the scheme comprised two units, Unit 3 being 35,000sqft and Unit 4 being 75,000sqft. The development was pre-sold to Leftfield Advisors, who rebranded the units as Leftfield Park. Practical completion took place in March 2023.
