Blackbird Industrial Park is located approximately 1 mile to the north east of Leicester City Centre, directly off Blackbird Road, close to the junction with Anstey Lane (B5327), giving direct access to the A46 Leicester ring road.
The Ian Marlow Centre was previously occupied by the Council and used as office accommodation and also various industrial units. Planning consent was submitted to demolish the existing buildings and redevelop the site to provide a total of 21 high quality light industrial units in terraces with associated yard and parking areas.
Leicester City Council are to retain the freehold interest of the renamed Blackbird Industrial Estate, and will be offering the units on leasehold terms.
The development was completed in October 2024 and comprises 21 high quality light industrial buildings in terraces offering units from 750sqft to 2500sqft. The total combined area on the site is 31,600sqft.
The units have an EPC A rating, and features include roof-mounted solar panels, super insulation and low energy smart lighting. The scheme also provides on-site parking, EV charging and bicycle storage facilities all within a secure gated site.
